Movie analysis: Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Jurassic World's Dominion is perhaps the most disappointing film I've ever seen even though I've seen a lot of bad films as a film critic. The Jurassic World: Dominion, the third entry in the Jurassic World trilogy, and the sixth in Jurassic Park as a series did not live up to the hype. The film's inevitable inability to stand out was apparent from the beginning.
In Jurassic World: Dominion, it is a thrilling concept that dinosaurs, a non-welcome species, could eventually become the dominant species in the world. Instead of embracing the concept of spreading the idea, the film does its best to confine the dinosaurs to a small park. This is just one of the many blunders in the film.
One of the main issues in the film is the failure to live up to the high expectations that were set by Jurassic World, Dominion. Fans were promised a satisfying conclusion Jurassic World, as well as significant improvement. The film was advertised as the final installment in the trilogy. Many viewers felt let down and disappointed because the film fell short of the standards that were set by its own marketing.
The storyline of Jurassic World: Dominion is monotonous and complex to the point that it's almost unintelligible because it tries to encompass the main characters from the prior films regardless of whether or not this is reasonable. The historical characters are reduced to blank sheets and the story is poorly told and at an incongruous moment. The story is at a critical moment. The running time of the film is (blog post) so lengthy that by the time the credits roll you'll be wondering what all this means.
Jurassic World: Dominion tries to keep the viewers entertained by synchronizing two dull and unrelated plotlines. But it falls short. Despite the obvious presence of a Stegosaurus however, the movie seems to overlook it throughout, leaving viewers to wonder what the reason for it being included in the first place.
Although Jurassic World III may have been an improvement over Jurassic World III in some ways, Jurassic World III still receives little praise. This picture is perhaps the most successful of the Jurassic Park series, which is a remarkable feat considering the series' past of bad storylines. Jurassic World, Dominion, is a terrible, unnecessary waste of time and money. It's a letdown for both long-time and new fans of the series, and is a clear signal that the Jurassic Park movies should have been canceled years ago.
If you're not a fan of Jurassic Park films, then you should skip this film. Instead, you should see the original Jurassic Park film again, because it's widely believed that it's the top of the bunch.
